Housed at the Brick Academy, the Historical Society of the Somerset Hills is continuing to document it’s collection:

Called Penny Postcards since they only cost a penny. In the early 1900’s this was a fun way to correspond.
The Blairsden Estate History Video Series

Original 1888 Brick Academy Student’s School Books Come Home
Donated by the great, great, great grandson of Basking Ridge resident Michael Scheuereman, two antique books that once belonged to the Brick Academy student William Scheuereman were recently donated to THSSH. Take a step back in time and come see these great pieces of our local history. Printed back in 1888 by D. Appleton and Company of New York, they’re now on display at THSSH at the Brick Academy.
