1933 - Upon Walter Graeme Ladd's death of pneumonia on May 21, noted that after his wife Kate Macy's death (1945) the Natirar Estate in Peapack would become a convalescent home for women until May 21, 1983 - 50 years from his death, which is why the estate was sold in 1983.
1910 - C. Ledyard Blair (Blairsden Estate in Bernardsville) served as Commodore of the prestigious New York Yacht Club. His 240 foot yacht The Diana, served as flagship.

Take Exit 26B (Bernardsville). Bear right at off ramp onto Mt. Airy
Road. Bear right at traffic signal where Mt. Airy Road continues.
Go 1.1 miles and turn right onto W. Oak Street. The Historical Society
is 1 mile on the left.
From Routes 202 (Traveling Southbound)
Enter Bernardsville and look for left onto North Maple Avenue. Go approximately
1.7 miles and turn right onto Oak Street (island). Cross North Finley
Avenue and Brick Academy is the second building on the right.
From 287 (Traveling Southbound)
Take North Maple Avenue (Exit30A) to Basking Ridge. Go approximately
1.7 miles and turn right onto Oak Street (island). Cross North Finley
Avenue and Brick Academy is the second building on the right.
From Route 78 (Traveling Eastbound)
Take 78 to Exit 36. Turn Left at off ramp and proceed
on Stonehouse Road which bears to the left and turns into King George
Road. Continue 2 miles and bear right onto North Finley Avenue. Continue
to center of downtown Basking Ridge. Turn left onto Oak Street. The
Brick Academy is the second building on the right.
From Route 78 (Traveling Westbound)
Take 78 to Exit 36. Turn Right at off ramp and proceed on Stonehouse
Road which bears to the left and turns into King George Road. Continue
2 miles and bear right onto North Finley Avenue. Continue to center
of downtown Basking Ridge. Turn left onto Oak Street. The Brick
Academy is the second building on the right.
Mass Transit New Jersey Transit train service is available via the Peapack/Gladstone rail line. The Basking Ridge train station is located just four short blocks north of the Brick Academy.
Parking/Restrooms There are 8 parking spaces at the Brick Academy. Additional free parking is available along South Finley Ave in the downtown section of Basking Ridge. Restroom facilities are available in the downstairs of the Brick Academy.
